Chord detection apps can be confusing. Here is the practical version: what GigaChords does, what it does not do, and what V1 includes.
How accurate is GigaChords?
Automatic chord detection is difficult, especially with dense mixes, unusual harmony, fast passing chords, or noisy recordings. GigaChords is tested with real songs, keeps every chart editable, and focuses on useful results instead of pretending every detection is final.
Does GigaChords upload my music?
No. V1 analyzes local files and microphone recordings on your device. Network access is used for sign-in, subscription verification, launch updates, and feedback you explicitly choose to send; chord feedback does not include the audio file.
Which formats are supported?
Windows supports MP3 and WAV. Android supports MP3, WAV, M4A, MP4, AAC, OGG, OPUS, FLAC, and WEBM, subject to the codecs available on the device.
What can V1 import?
The public V1 app imports local audio files and microphone recordings. Online-link imports, a public song catalog, and browser analysis are not V1 features.
Is GigaChords a tab library?
No. GigaChords is not trying to become a giant tab catalog. It is a chord analysis and practice tool for audio you provide or are allowed to use.
Can I edit wrong chords?
Yes. Editable charts are core to the product: correct chord cells or timing by ear and keep the version you trust.
Does V1 include a transpose control?
No. V1 includes capo-aware chord display and individual chord editing, but not a standalone whole-chart transpose control.
Can I export charts?
Not in the first public V1 release. Musician-friendly chart export is planned for a later Pro update.
What does Free include, and what does Pro cost?
Free includes 3 full-song analyses per month, 60-second previews after that limit, up to 3 saved songs, and the listed practice tools. Android Pro is currently $6.99 per month or $49.99 per year as limited launch/beta pricing; Google Play shows the binding local price and renewal terms. Apple App Store and Microsoft Store show their own binding local prices, availability, taxes, and renewal terms.
Where is GigaChords available?
GigaChords is available for iPhone and iPad on the App Store, for Windows in Microsoft Store, and for Android on Google Play. A browser-analysis version is not part of this release.
